I don't know if channels on quakenet are needed for other games such as TF2, but they are a requirement for joining Enemy Down for CSS.

So as a small request can everyone (even if you are not involved with the gaming teams) please be so kind as to idle in #atkcss1 this can be done by using either an IRC client such as mIRC or Chatzilla, or you can use the Java IRC (http://www.atkcommunity.com/vbjirc.php) built into the website. To join from the Java IRC, simply type "/join #atkcss1" (without the ") and just leave it as that.

Thanks for everyone who does this, and remember IRC is so old it uses no system resources whatsoever so it can easily be left running in the background!

I think that instead of creating new channels for each team, we should all just use the ATK IRC channel. Unfortunately, we have lost our old IRC channel, but I am now re-registering the following IRC channel:

#atk (QUAKENET)

You can join it in the same way as Vox described above, but by replacing #atkcss1 with #atk. I need as many people to join #atk since I am trying to get Q.

Ok guys, new plan: Idle #atk instead now. We can use that for ED.

Q is now in our IRC channel @ #atk. I have also updated all of the links here:

Is there a difference between mIRC and IRC? And how do you speak with ChatZilla? I've not used these things in yeeeaars

mirc is just a program, irc is what the thing is called

IRC Stands for internet relay chat and mIRC is just an IRC client that you should pay for.

ChatZilla is a completely free add on for FireFox that can be found here (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/16).

I already have chatzilla, but how are you supposed to chat on it? It gives me bull about not typing directly into the tab.
