[DONE] Sports Games Forum

As many of you know, other than WoW, the games I play the most are sports games. Since there is no games for these types of games, I believe that we should get one. The purpose of this forums is to use the games for any season sims, bragging rights, massive score posting, team/roster updates etc.

Please answer the poll and post reasons for your choice. What you choose will be visible, so be prepared to be raped if you say no simply because you dont like sports.

Given the fact i've heard little from most people (other than you Oric) in the community about sports games, i'd have to say that it isn't needed. The Other Games forums can fit the purpose if you want though.

If there is a small following, then perhaps a sub-forum, and if i'm completely wrong and you're all avid fans of sports game, then i'll retract my comment and everyone can discount my vote. :)

It would cover most sports games on as many platforms as possible, since some are the same on many consoles (Madden 09, which was released today, was put on the Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii and XBox 360 in the same form).

Obviously, more than one person would help cover all, so maybe two to three people would cover all (Since I am the only one that specialises in Madden NFL and MLB 08 The Show, but do not play the typical FIFA and PES series.)

Gran Turismo would also feature.

No, Im on PSP. But I am thinking of getting a PS3 (No, I do not want this thread to turn into a bitchfest between the two, because we already had a thread for that).

But Madden and MLB are the two games I play the most, with Madden being my specialist game. And if there was an i34 Madden Tournament, I would have wiped it. But seriously, the idea of the sports forum is for the members who play them to provide others with tips and tricks into improving their game, as well as being able to review two rival games for the same sport (Such as MLB 08 The Show and MLB 2k8, which MLB 08 The Show is better, since I bought it, and its hitting mechanics are more stable and are more fun to play, as well as the fact MLB 2k8 is as glitchy as hell).

For madden, I hope I will be able to give a ranking of the best few teams at each position, and help people play to the team's strengths and try adapt the game to their weaknesses. Let's just hope no-one plays with the Oakland Raiders, because they got no strengths whatsoever :D.

No doubt when it comes out, Midge, Darkeagle and I will be all for it regarding GT5 :p (Prologue doesn't count, it's a glorified demo (no arguments please lol.))

Chalex needs to make a swift decision again tonight TBH. The Hutch thing was the first thing done by the community that was resolved without a full scale meeting, easily, to the favour of the majority, and took under 3 hours.

So yeah, i'd agree then, make a forum for it, with subforums for popular games/types (Racing Games, Fifa, Madden etc).
