Need help!

Hi everyone. Yesterday I bought a server at C2G, and I got a thing called adminpanel. I didn't understand a shit in there, so it would be nice to get help from someone. I have 6 questions:

How should I do to change all the standard maps to surfmaps?
How should I do to make myself an admin? Do I need to download a mod or something?
How should I do to make other players admin?
How should I do to make that the next map is decided by player votes?
How should I do to make that players can votekick?
How should I do to make that I can change for example sv_gravity?

I really really need this help from someone! I have paid a big ammount of money on this server, so it would be fun if I got it the way I want!

I didn't know you were going to need a lot of like programming skills. I thought it was just to choose the maps, deside who is the admins and stuff like that. It is really complicated.

Um go into the cfg and change the maps lists putting the whole name without BSP in it.... put surfmaps in the maps folder corresponding to the maps list

if i remember Connect2gaming has mani admin preloaded on the server? if you need any help just pm me and ill try my best to help you out.

also check out Mattie event scripts and hlsw , these are great for making your server popular ( gun game , mug mod that kinda stuff) and hlsw is a tool for game admins to help monitor and control their servers.

Thank you so much the witch! I promise this will help me. But there is one thing. BaD-BoY knew someone from his old clan that was good on this stuff. He tried to help us and reinstalled the server, and still it hasn't got online yet. I am afraid it won't work now. He says that his server comes up like 30 minutes after clicking "reinstall". But my server haven't come online yet. I hope it will soon, or I have wasted my money... Thank you again!

reinstall just takes the server back to the state you got it in , although mani admin maybe removed , reinstalling normally takes a while depending on a number of factors but it should be back up by 2morro , if your servers not back up by 2morro send the provider a ticket asking why.

Ok, thank you. I will check tomorrow. But I think it is a little weird that his server is up again in 30 minutes and mine in 2 days. I guess it doesn't matter... I have downloaded mani admin plugin and I think I know how to install it to the server but when I fix it up exactly as they say how to do it, I don't get admin anyway...!

Ok, thank you! I will try the suggestions I got from you and the witch now. I hope it will work... I think the server gets fucked up when I try to change in maplist that it right now will be surf_year3000 and surf_10x_final. I have uploaded the maps in the right folder. But I will try it again...

On all the C2G servers we have the Dynamic Pricing off (mp_dynamicpricing 0). It means that the guns' prices change. Click here (http://www.steampowered.com/stats/csmarket/) for more information.

Ok, thanks everyone! The server is running really fine. We've got like 10 members in my and BaD-BoY's clan! The most questions of mine has been answered, but still it is a few more until the server is completely done...!

Those settings can all be changed in the mani_server.cfg file which can be found in /cstrike/cfg/. Good luck!

.. The main question is how to make bad boy stop cheating. When he comes into jail he slaps himslef out or simply just use the teleport!! and to not be killed he makes himself no clip almost every round. Darwin pls make him stop its annoying that he cant be killed just becouse hes admin!!!

LOL! I agree it's annoying with BaD-BoY's admin abusing, I will discuss it with him... And yes, he is still alive! ^^ About the rank, do you mean that I can activate rank on the servers in the mani_server.cfg? If that's all it is really great.

yep , i also think there is an option to chose what type of ranking you want i.e based on kill/death or score or whatever. its a good idea to look throw the mani_server.cfg and server.cfg because it gives you a great insight into what you can do i.e the options of adverts and editing the motd.

Also if its possible could you copy and paste the server.cfg and mani_server.cfg and send it to me via private messaging so i can make fancy coding boxes without having to recall it from memory?

oh yeah Darwin add surf_greatestriver to the server as its much better than greatriver to play. Greatriver sucks.

just been on ur server seems pretty kool although the surf settings took a little bit of time to get use to. A few things you might want to improve:

.A better motd with rules on , maybe a back ground image
.Anti-block mod seeing as your server only runs surf maps!

i think its cause hes been working at his server, do you have an ftp? if you do dl
fillazilla, tht helped me loads with my server, then you can change all your maps and your motd and stuff.

just type fillazilla in google

i prefer to use smart ftp to be honest , although i haven't really tried any of the others

SmartFTP is the best FTP client really, Filezilla is better if you are going to be looking in firefox alot.

The biggest reason I've been so inactive is that my Steam didn't work at mom's house, but now it does! :D

And of course I've been working on the server too...!
