That's right, the highly anticipated GoldenEye: Source BETA 3 has officially gone Gold! After extensive development, and hard work by our testers, we've finally got a stable build, ready for release. The BETA 3 has been a long development process, and probably even a longer wait for our community. The process all started with the switch to the new Source Orange Box Engine, and completely started our code from scratch, in light of the new Engine.

System Requirements:

Your system must meet the minimum system requirements for the Orange Box Engine:

Minimum: 1.7 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX® 8 level Graphics Card, Windows® Vista/XP/2000, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection
Recommended: Pentium 4 processor (3.0GHz, or better), 1GB RAM, DirectX® 9 level Graphics Card, Windows® Vista/XP/2000, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

You must also own AT LEAST one game produced by Valve through Steam in order to download the Source SDK Base 2007.

*NOTE*: L4D apparently does NOT give you the Source SDK Base 2007!!

You download it from the following places (click here (http://wiki.goldeneyesource.net/index.php/Beta_3_Mirrors) for more):

I personally loved Beta 1, and so am downloading B3 now :D. It should be awesome, see you ingame!!!

Downloading

EDIT: Really isn't that great. Takes full clips to kill people, no recoil so aiming is just point and shoot (they even have a crosshair this time), player clipping means you cant run past friendly players in narrow corridors. Gun models are pretty bad, sounds are bad. I know this is meant to be Goldeneye from the N64, but they could have improved it a bit.

i played beta 1 and like it but it lacked the feel from the n64 game and was incomplete. lack of online servers made it boring and no weapon pre go options like on the n64 loose appeal, still it looks nice tho, but for it to be good it really needs to be a total conversion.

Pretty much what I would have said. It was laggy as fuck too.
