Well, maybe not what people expected, i thought there would be more dlc packs, but its been proven

It looks good, BUT, tbh its kind of a big DLC pack, i personally feel that they dont want to go down the pay to play DLC packs, so they are going to make us fork out another 30 - 40 quid to buy this.
I sound like im moaning, but i will still buy it, because it will be epic, The New AI director sounds great!
Bad news about this is, with more time on L4D2, it will more likely push back EP3 to a EVEN later release

Or it could be they want to make the EP3 have its own unique box, with L4D2, Portal 2 and HL:EP3, just like the Orange Box.
Ha yeah, thats a pipedream..

Wow, I had no idea that they would release a sequel so soon after, sounds awesome!
I think Bloo has the right idea, I can't see EP3 being released any after that since it's already been in production for an age.

TBH not that far-fetched. I'd put dibs on the Blue Box.

Looks fun, they're going with their original idea of each campaign leading onto the next one as well!

I think they might take this down the RPG route as they are doing a bit with TF2. I wouldn't mind that as it fits better than it does with TF2. I like that we have proper melee weapons now though.
It definately won't be a DLC because all the graphics and characters are different, I think Valve decided they didn't totally like L4D so they wanted to re-do it.

Also they have to compete with resident evil and even killing floor, they need to be more grusome and abit more traditional zombie killing with chainsaws :D

The new melee weapons are probably there so that Valve can lessen the total ammo a player can carry, at least, that's my theory!

Heh, the original characters were better than the final L4D1 ones.. I bought a PCZONE instead of PCG a couple of years ago and it had a special on L4D, the only character that stayed the same was the old guy.

The woman is now black BTW. Pretty retarded if you ask me, there are now 2 black people and 2 white people. Bloody political correctness. They could have atleast made her an attractive black woman.

Count yourself lucky then didn't make one white, one black, one Hispanic/Muslim/Indian and one Asian. Maybe that's for Left 4 Dead 3!

No wheelchair-bound zombies?
I swear, these PC fanatics really miss the obvious underrepresented classes!

Wot about the survivors, I think one should be a cripple at least, they covered the whole race thing but they always forget about the disabilities :O

I really don't understand people who say stuff like, "Valve are idiots, they're charging £25 for 5 new campaigns, 20 new weapons, new special zombies, better story, and better AI director, it's basically just a mod for L4D 1".
It's a sequel! That's what a sequel is, more of the same! I don't see why people have a hard time understanding this.
This is a good thread with all the information on L4D 2: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=884519

I think it's more because people think that it's because they were expecting more support for L4D1 rather than go out and create a whole new sequel. I mean one could argue that they could have added all those things slowly to the original rather than lump then all in a sequel.
But then, Valve are making a new mini campaign for L4D1 and I'd rather have all the new features at once than spread out over 12 months.
Either way, Borderlands is better. :p
