They didn't say anything about it not being possible - and I proved them... er... right?

Anyway, as some of you know i was planning to build a k'nex case for my pc at i37. Today i spent about 6 and a half hours doing it :)

The watercooling was the hardest part, took at least 3 hours sorting that.

LOL, that's sick..

No problem with heating, and if there is, that heat energy will be transferred into the knex plastic, eventually creating a self-contained computer =D

Lol k'nex doesn't melt toill lol temperatures - its a thermosetting plastic you know ;)

As for the outside fans, they're just there to be pro, but obviously arent neccesary, and can be easily cable tied to the knex - this is how the motehrboard is secured xD

Also the card reader that has the 2 card slots obscured is fine coz i only ever use SD or MMC, and the usb is accessible :D

Hmmm... looks wonky...

Nah it's awesome, but it will come apart many times at i37. :D

Chaz, you must figure out a way to change his case in the night, and make it phallic.

Am I missing something? Why has Chazlene suddenly become the Master of Penis all of a sudden?

And oh gods, I just typed Master of Penis in a serious question.

Nice case, but surely you're going to have to be crazily careful when moving that around since I'd imagine it all just wants to fall apart :p.

I'm not sure, Bloo, he just seemed to have the post above me, so I chose him.

Wow...what temps do you get with that?

Pretty much the same - GPU1 ~60*C GPU1 ~40*C CPU1 ~30*C CPU2~30*C

At load GPU1 ~100*C GPU2 ~100*C CPU1 ~ 38*C CPU2~36*C

Chalex - if u build k'new properly into 3d shapes its actually very strong. Obviously if you tried to pick it up by one piece that would break but its fint to be lifted from beneath. Ive made a k'nex chair before:D

You'll need to use a trolley of some sort I am guessing to transport it. But nice job.

How do you power it up?

How do you power it up?

With my motehrboard being the Asus Maximus Extreme, as with almost all overlocking boards they come with power and reset buttons on the board so you can run on a bench without a case easily :)

Aint dust gonna be a massive problem with this case Mitch?

Also an awesome idea - use the tiny K'nex motors to make a huge K'nex fan to cool it.

Dust will be less of a problem as theirs nowhere for it to build and with it being well aired its not jammed anywhere with low airflow.

K'nex motors are big and spin extremely slowly and also theres a lack of a k'nex fan rotor atatchment :P

Just to say ive had teh case for months now and no noticeable dust build up so F**k you to chris :P

Looking inside now i can safely say its less dusty than most cases inside =]

I think as its open-air the dust cant settle on it, like how dusty is your desk for example, if its got regular air moving around it it shouldn't give dust a chance to settle, and if it does.....
GOODBYE DIRT!
