Since I have more time now, I thought I'd let you know what's happening with our Novint sponsorship.

After the success of the i37 LAN we've had a number of people use our referral code to order their own falcons & pistol grips. Now that international shipping is available I thought I'd confirm the most important information:

Referral Code (20% discount): atkfalcon
Discounted ATK Price: £138.50 ($226.49 USD)
Saving of $40 USD (original price: $266.49 USD)
Check out the Novint Store (https://home.novint.com/store/store.php) now!
*Please note that these costs do not included VAT/Customs Fees. I'd recommend contacting your local customs agency for more information regarding these fees.*

If you're unsure about whether you want a Novint Falcon, Cillit Bang has just won one and I'm sure he'll tell us first hand what it's like :). See the thread here (http://www.atkcommunity.com/showthread.php?t=2197).

Alternatively, watch the Novint Falcon & Pistol Grip in action here (http://home.novint.com/products/pistol_grips.php).

ATK Questions & Answers

You'll all remember that at i37 we accumulated many questions regarding the Falcons, so a couple of days ago I chose the most popular and contacted Novint to see what their official answers were:

Are you going to produce a left handed grip?
A left handed pistol grip is something we plan on, but we have no
estimated release date for it.

Will COD MW2 and Left4Dead 2 be supported for use with the Falcon as
soon as they're released?
Currently, we have no official plans to support COD: MW2. However, we do have our F-Gen
drivers planned for an official release later this year, with an Alpha version currently available
for download from our forums. The F-Gen drivers will provide full cursor control, and may also
provide some basic forces. For more information on the F-Gen Drivers, please
head to the following links:

Description: http://home.novint.com/support/answer.php?id=46
F-Gen Alpha: http://home.novint.com/community/phorum/read.php?2,13420

In regards to Left 4 Dead 2, it will function with F-Gen, similar to any
other game title. However, at this time, we have no further announcements
for this title.

What other colours and grips are in the pipeline? How soon can we
expect them?
Currently, we have no other colours planned for the Falcon. However, if
you are looking to customize your Falcon with various colours, you can head
to the following link to purchase Falcon decals from skinit:

http://www.skinit.com/devices/novint_gaming_device

We will have some pictures up with examples of these decals being used in
the near future.

In regards to grips, our next grip will likely be a wheel grip for racing
games. However, we are also looking into other grip designs, and will make
further announcements as things become more finalized.

Anything else you want to say? Feel free to let me know your answers
to some other questions I didn't ask.
Should be about it :) The only other thing I want to say is that, if you
do purchase a Falcon, I would recommend playing all games at the default
settings for about 10-20 hours before trying to alter them. This is so as to
allow you to understand the way the Falcon controls, and then tweak the
settings as you see fit afterwards. For some, like myself, the defaults are
perfect, and require very little adjustment outside of a slight
increase/decrease in aim sensitivity.

>>Wait! I want to ask a question!<<
If YOU have any more questions for Novint, please just post them below and John. T from Novint will post a reply here on ATK just for you!

My advice, don't bother contacting them. It keeps them on the look out so you will get slapped with Customs. Just order it and hope they don't check it. I'm 7/9 of no tax so far. Alternatively, get them to mark it as a gift.

(I may) ;) have brought alot of stuff back from the usa / italy and never paid import tax on any of it.

Processor from singapore £800
Laptops from USA £3400
Components from USA £600
Crossbow from italy ( :D ) £120
components from italy £200
Cigaretts / tobaco from italy £600-700 by now probably. (not for resale, for my mum and my nan)

Although for obvious reasons this is all just speculation, I may really have bought nothing ;)

Almost as funny as my shoutbox editing over a nightsworth of convo lol.

tbh 400k for an olympic logo and MP's expenses writing a product as a gift these days is fair game in anyones eyes.

I meant by post, not phsyically bringing it back after a holiday. I may or may not be experienced in that field following several trips to the States...
