Wow, Steam has really pulled out all the stops. I think I'm going to hold off today though, and see what's discounted tomorrow :).

DDDDDOUBLE POST.
GTA IV Isn't that bad a game tbh, It's an ok sandbox, and multiplayer is a bit of a laugh sometimes.

VH recommends it VoX, it's shit. Not sure I'll get any deals here, most of the games I want have yet to come out.

Played it Co-Op ages ago with a mate on PS2, disc was buggered so we could only ever get so far. Done the first few missions, is still fun, although I'm playing it more like a Run n Gun atm :p.

Hahaha, you should look on youtube, guy got a between-the-eyes at 1074 meters, full realism or something crazy like that..

Just watched a video of that kill. So unreal, bullets go way faster than that.
Vicious Horizon

For some odd reason, I think it's in slow-motion :p
Unless I'm missing something?

When you get a kill at Uber long range or a headshot you go into slow-mo and follow the bullet along its path.

So if it goes into slow motion you know you've got the kill before the bullet hits?

I had a chance to play with a friend (who I THINK lurks these forums), and wasn't that impressed. Then again, the setting sucks balls, so what do you expect?
As far as shooters go, I want to be given a choice to use whatever tactics I want to... If an assault rifle is more appropriate, i'll pick it up and use it... if I feel like sending body parts across the map, a rocket launcher is always fun... being limited to a sniper rifle just isn't fun when it isn't your personal choice...

Kinda like that, but it works really well, it basically lets you enjoy the awesome moments a bit more :D.

AFAIK, you're not only limited to the Sniper. It's just that you'll epically fail without it xD

Don't VH... mods don't work for the steam version, and project reality is the only good reason to buy BF2 nowadays...
Just find it in a bargin bin somewhere... it'll probably come with special forces anyway, and Project Reality is a real... experience...
Vicious Horizon
25th December 2009, 08:00 PM
Fair point there DK. - That's Steam's main problem, the lack of major modding with ease =/

You sure mods dont work?
You can access the game files fine in %Program Files%/Steam/Steamapps/common/%Game name%
so in theory you should be able to mod there just like normal

Aye, but I guess Steam looks for any changes in the .exe and game files, may see Project Reality as a hack - I've heard of people making homebrew mods and forgetting they have them installed and getting VAC bans.. then again, that is all hearsay =/
