I've been working on some more updates to the new ATK design. There are no dramatic changes, but here's the changelog anyway:

- Squashed many small style bugs
- The site no longer loads inside the shoutbox on first load
- Updated the ATK Gallery (http://www.atkcommunity.com/gallery/index.php) to work with our new site
- Adapted links so users can directly join our Mumble server (mumble://85.236.100.59:4087/?version=1.2.0)
- Brand new shoutbox which is far superior to the old one
- Added our twitter feed (http://twitter.com/atkcommunity) to the homepage
- Now able to "Like (http://www.facebook.com/pages/ATK-Community/123366224340543/)" the ATK Community on Facebook
- Reapplied spacesaving to postbit
- Fixed and improved the spoilers tag
- Patched security hole in the Downloads Area (http://www.atkcommunity.com/downloads.php)
- Added "Total members that have visited the forum today" to forum homepage
- Added "Total guests that have visited the forum today" to forum homepage
- Increased the number of database backups to twice daily again
- Reintroduced "itrader" for reliable forum sales
- Installed registration (http://www.atkcommunity.com/register.php) spam protection
- Replaced all the smilies with much better ones
- Slightly tidied up the "About Us (http://www.atkcommunity.com/?page=about)" page
- Re-added the option to change your PC specs (http://www.atkcommunity.com/profile.php?do=extra) in settings
- Added links to the ATK steam group (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/atk) under "Communication" module
- Optimised homepage module ordering
- i40 banners placed around the site

The original plan was to code some more complex things, but that's going to have to wait until the summer :). Let me know what you think.

why would you want it to not load shoutbox on first load?

I think that will mean it doesnt work on mobile browsers now =/

He means that when a guest visits the site (anyone not logged in) the ENTIRE site loaded inside the shoutbox window, rather than the shoutbox. Was really bloody annoying when checking the site elsewhere.

Like the updates... Site looks a lot tighter now, for those of us without massive moniters (*Cough* Mitch *Cough*). And since when have we had a twitter?

Yeah DK you've got it right, the site always used to break every time someone loaded it for the first time. Thank god that no longer happens.

We've had a twitter since I started working on this new site version, which has been a couple of weeks. At the moment it takes our new forum threads and links to them there, but I'm going to be updating it much more often over the summer.

Nooo my beautiful i40 banner isn't near the top of the homepage any more :(

All looks good though, just need to make the staff page now.

My monitors only 24" i think youll find theres several people here with 26",someone with an IPS display, and a couple of people use tvs.
Size doesnt matter dk its allabout resolution, and almost everyones on 1920x1080, soit would look the same on a 19" as a 42".

Douche.

Looks a lot tighter and more polished, great job. Can't say I agree with the facebook integration though.

How does it decide who gets shown on the facebook thing?

Looks pretty good, not sure with the facebook thing but meh...can we edit shout box posts now?

The 6 people displayed in the facebook module changes periodically throughout the day, not every time you refresh it (saved in cache). This is to save queries to facebook.

Hopefully people will just see the "like" button and instinctively click it as they do on facebook. It's basically another way of bookmarking ATK but with the added twist of finding others who like it too.

can we edit shout box posts now?
Yes! Just double click on your message.

Consoling ourselves, are we?

Now now Vh, be nice. Some people have to cope with this situation... it's up to us to support mitch in his time of need, even if he lashes out at us for it. That's what friends are for, after all.
