Seeing inside any building is an inevitable step and this is the best solution I've seen so far. Imagine just going anywhere!! This would also be pure win for making maps for games too. Imagine a CSS match at i40 playing on the Newbury grandstand map :p.

Total protonic reversal? Small price to pay for an instantaneous 3D scan of a building's interior. The pack contains a suite of laser scanners and positional sensors that enable it to capture images of building interiors as a fleshy assistant roams their halls. Those images can then be automatically pieced back together to create a 3D representation. Pretty incredible technology, doubt we'll get indoors on google maps with all the privacy issues. Would be great for making large indoor spaces quickly for games like GTA though.

Lol if google maps did do it in places that gave them permission - which they would have to legally get to do that - it would be pretty damn win.

I mean, I could plot to destroy a building and know the layout perfectly with this.

I think if you want to blow up a building you will know a lot better ways to find out the structure than using google maps lol.

I'm not saying that they'd use this in your kitchen, but for public spaces like theatres or leisure centres then this could work very well. I bet some places like restaurants would also want to be included.
