My audio is "spiking" the volume goes up and then back to normal and does this a few times over the duration of a song (winamp, youtube), i haven't noticed it doing this ingame.
Anyway this is driving me NUTS! and i cant really find anything about it on the interwebs.

I have a SB-Xfi Xtreme Audio (http://us.store.creative.com/Sound-Blaster-XFi-Extreme-Audio/M/B000IZC0GO.htm). But i dont think its the card since this has only happened to me for the past month or so. My friend say's he has a similar problem but he has no idea what it is. Also i have a Creative T7900 Inspire 7.1 Speaker system.

So so any ideas?

Oh also i just tried unplugging all the wires and plugging them back in on the woofer, so im gonna see if that does something [Edit] Didint do squat

After reinstalling the driver, it happened again! So its either the card or the speakers

Hasent done this the last 2x installations, those were both 32bit's, now ive got a 64bit and this happens but not untill recently.

And ugh, i might be arsed to try using my onboard but i dont think it supports 7.1 so ill need to find a different set of speakers so i would first have to test those with my current audio card.

Can you not jsut plug in 6 of them (5.1) and see if it does it?
