Kill Bill? thats an awesome film...Not that norwegian spoof Kill Buljo, that just sucks ass. Also your only real life experience of soldiers seems to be counter-strike and black hawk down, yet you keep slamming at the SAS.. The Americans in black hawk down were noobs... falling off ropes, sending in men in a silly way.... Read some Chris Ryan and Andy McNab books FFS.

Goodness yes, us foreigners like films with a plot and characterisation instead of mindless violence and SFX.

Hutch
2nd February 2008, 06:19 PM
Yeah, quite true spawn, alot of foreign films do have a better plot and more characterisation.... Goodbye Lenin, Pan's Labyrinth and Amelie all prove that point... I only mentioned those particular overwatched 3 as I'm sure that everyone has seen them, or knows of them.

If I tried to make a list I would miss out so many classic's.

There is one movie however which I do consider a classic and thats "Stargate" (1994).

Brilliant and not all sci fi and the music that goes behind it is astounding, I can honestly watch it again and again and it's still one of the best movie's I have ever seen and probably will ever see in my lifetime.

Stargate is great, and the TV series has great music as well! :)

But Shawshank... hands down is one of the best films ever made.
Oh yeah and Pan's Labyrinth is a wonderful film, though gets quite gruesome at bits...

Hutch
2nd February 2008, 06:54 PM
Lol @ Bloo

I'm from Stargate... Look at me I'm from stargate, i've got a P90, Look at me I've got a P90, I'm from stargate.

Shawshank is an amazing film but imo there are slightly better films. Green mile perhaps, or The Shining.
The Lives of Others is my favourite at the moment. Its about spies during the cold war... it won an Oscar among other awards.
Kill Bill is also a close classic but It's not the best. Everything has flaws.
