Game We Play NOW

So yeah I've been working on the new site design using the super duper secret development version of the website, and I was thinking of making the background very subtly incorporate the logos and symbols of the various games we play, or even including a list of the games we play as part of the background, similar to what they have on Multiplay's forums.

So it would be helpful if yarl could post what games you play with links to their logos or whatever, since I can't be arsed to think of them all. I've already made vectors for the obvious Source engine games, etc. so don't bother with them.

Lol cheers Calneon but maybe I should've put more emphasis on 'symbols' rather than logos :p The idea is to have simple vector symbols just floating around on the background, I'll see if I can find simpler versions though.

I think it's going to be hard to do what you want because few games have recognisable simple vector images you could use.

Yeah looks good Chaz. Just one query, are we including SP games? Assassin's creed and HL2 are the only ones there that are only SP (though HL2 has DM). If we are including SP games, I think a lot more should be included, and if we aren't including them, I don't think those two should.

Well Brotherhood actually is multiplayer as well, and it seemed silly to leave out Half Life 2 when it's such a core game.

If you sort it by relevence, CSS, TF2, Killing Floor and HoN should be lower, and Generals should be higher (probs between CoD and BF)

You could also argue that WoW be above LoL but I think that would be too nitpicky.

It's only a background image, I don't think having them ranked in order of players is important. If some had to be more prominent than others though I would agree with LoL, WoW, CoD, and BF being the most played.

The first two, I'd agree with, but very few people play CoD and BF frequently enough. More people play Starcraft, Minecraft and EVE in both number and quantity of time.

Ha yeah this is the reason why I've started to regret making this background, it's gonna need to be changed whenever a new game comes out we all play, the symbols as well as the text :s

It's not a huge deal, if you save the PSD you'll only have to update it like, once a year. When's the last time a game has come out that we all still play? I can't think of any that have been released in the last year.

Yep, people thinking that a new currency will change something in-game and staying in 2 systems shooting something pointlessly, that's a real game-breaking thing going on there :P
