As some of you know I have a server at home thats been having problems with its RAID 5 array (hard drives setup so that no data is lost if a drive fails). Basically these problems were caused by a drive failing and windows being shit at managing raid5.
So I got a dedicated raid 6 controller from ebay for a STEAL (RRP of the controller is ~£700 and the backup battery is over £100(link here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220800559091&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT)) and 3 more drives to add to the array ( a total of 14TB, 10TB usable in raid 6.
Anyway the array is building now and here are some piccies :)

Here it is next to my old 4870x2 for comparison (a dual GPU graphics card)

It was supplied with the battery backup module too :)

Here is is with a SAS to 4 x SATA 300MB/s cable.

New case big enough to fit all the drives, and cheaper than buying 5.25" to 3.5" converters.

Here it is with the front off so you can see the drive bays, and I can access them easily.
