So, Steve Jobs passed away. After battles with cancer over the years, he's finally passed away.

Whilst I wasn't a fan of the i-brand mobile/handheld devices, I do quite like the Macs (if I could afford one, I'd have one).

He had great vision and some fantastic ideas. It's a shame to see such an influential man pass.

A sad day for the tech world

Here's (http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2011/10/jobs/) an article about this life

Introducing the new iCoffin, iPrayer app sold separately at extortionate prices no alternative or open source version permitted.

He had some fantastic ideas, of how to drain the fuck out of peoples wallets

well without him a lot of features that everyone uses every day would not have appeared, whilst i still think that they are massively over priced

Even those that hate Apple with a passion, just remember that without Jobs/Apple, the standard of other software (Windows etc) wouldn't be as high as it is now. Competition is vital for a market to grow and benefit the consumer.

Now for the jokes to roll in :P

Even though he was a bit of a douche, it's very sad to see him die especially the way he did.

He was such an inspiration, and it's incredible how different the world would be if not for him. He really set the bar, stuck to his gut and was just so passionate about technology, that he will never be forgotten :).

RIP Steve Jobs 1955 - 2011.

the one thing thats starting to annoy me though is the amount of people comparing him to Einstein, Tesla and other amazing scientists, whilst he was amazing at what he did hes nothing in comparison to these people

He certainly had a great mind, but it's hard to compare people like Jobs to Einstein. They did completely different things, both fantastically in their own right.

Yeah, he was an entrepreneur, not a scientist.

It's such a shame Will Smith is still alive. Makes terrible films.
