Bit of a weird one this, it's a stand-alone expansion pack to Shogun 2, but it's set 400 years later during the 19th Century, a time period which makes far more sense for them to go back to Europe again, rather than Japan... This means it includes new technology not seen in a Total War before such as machine guns and Ironclad Warships.

Anyway it sounds pretty cool, they've added a load of new features which are the sort of things Total War players have wanted for a while, such as the combination of Land and Naval battles:

It's basically The Last Samurai back thankfully with no Tom Cruise, I'll most likely get it since I skipped out Shogun 2.

Looks like a good setting, though i've never really been into TW games.
