Yeah sorry about the header... so Setsoru and I decided to give the co-op campaign on Fall of the Samurai a go, and thought we could take screenshots, etc, and post a campaign diary.
So to begin with, a little about the factions we decided to play as, we decided to go Imperial rather than Shogunate:
Setsoru - Saga
The Emperor's Diligence
- Gunnery (+5 to the accuracy of all artillery pieces)
- Industry (+5 to growth from industrial buildings)
- Engineering (-15% reduction to the recruitment and upkeep costs of ships)
- Rangaku (Trade with the Western Powers has been established)
Other Starting Bonuses
- Only faction to begin with a copper-plated ship
- Begin with decent artillery unit (Parrott Guns)
- Begin with Foreign Veteran
- Safe, isolated starting position

Chazlene - Choshu
The Emperor's Fury
- Zeal (-10% to the cost of ishin shishi actions)
- Marauding (+25% to income from looting)
- Adaptability (-10% to the costs of modern military buildings and units)
- Impetus (+3 to the charge bonus of all units)
Other Starting Bonuses
- Start with unit of Modern line infantry
- Begin with Ishin Shishi (probably the most useful agent in the game)

The objectives for the Campaign are to capture a certain number of provinces for ourselves, and make sure pretty much all the remaining provinces are held by Imperial clans, including Kyoto and Edo (Tokyo).
We decided to man the fuck up and play the campaign on Legendary Difficulty, which includes Battle Realism mode, meaning on the battlefield we can't move the camera too far away from our army, and we won't have the minimap.
So stay tuned and wish us luck, hopefully I'll post the first entry later today.
