Just saw this new video on the Unreal 4 engine and editor and truly looks fantastic. Can't wait to start seeing games using this engine, but even more so the editor looks so user friendly and I'm sure great things will come from smaller developers as well as large with the freedom it gives you. What do you guys think?

I'm only in my first year so don't have much expertise in the field. I haven't worked with the unreal 3 editor and so don't know how much its improved, but everything looks smooth and so well thought out. The blueprint and breakpoints look particularly helpful when getting shit to work.

I'm no game developer, but all of that sounded very cool :D.

I'm about to be using the UDK over the summer for a game development competition, wish it had some of these features. Real time previewing, editing, and compiling is pretty sick.

That is impressive, Maybe it's one of the first step to move into the upcoming generation.

Yes indeedy, the cryo 3 engine looks sweet but i cant see their developers tools will even touch the unreal, im guessing real time previewing and compiling is going to demand an absolute beast but have to wait and see i guess.

I think Game Designers will be most excited about this new engine. I for one am so retro I will continue to use Unreal 3 for the next 10 years. Even if that is not exactly retro.... Yeeees quite...

Thats my quota for posting done for another month... See you all in July.
