I edited you first post for you.

May I ask what you want to use this computer for?

Generally the i7 has nothing over the i5 in any circumstance unless you are folding / encoding etc.

Also I assume its not for gaming as the 650 is a pretty weak card, and if you have the budget for a 3770k you wouldn't buy this gpu for gaming :P

Also - Welcome to the forums :)

It will be used for editing and some gaming, but not very demanding games, just Call Of Duty BO2 etc.

If your main use for the system will be heavily multi-threaded then yeah its probably worth getting the 3770k, and so long as you're not intending on playing games like BF3 or Crysis at anything other than the lowest settings then it should be fine.

Depending on what you're using to edit though it might be worth nothing that many editing programs are now capable of using gpu acceleration, and as such if you got a better card it would significantly speed up editing with such programs, and make your gaming performance a bit better :)

So would I be better off with a GTX 670?

So would I be better off with a GTX 670?

If you are going to do anything that will use the power then yes you would, thought I must say for what you've described you use as I would recommend the 660TI over the 670, purely as its about £60-100 cheaper. The performance difference between the two isn't all that high (whereas the difference between the 650 and 660TI is huge).

Hope that helps

I shall take a look at the 660 Ti. Thanks for the Advice! :)
