Today I have added an addon to the forum that allows members to "digg" posts. If a member was to click the http://digg.com/img/badges/100x20-digg-button.gif button at the bottom of each post they would submit the post to www.digg.com which, if it was an interesting post, would massively increase the traffic to this site. So, if you find any interesting stories or pictures around the web, post them here, then add the post to digg (you have to create an account on digg first). Don't digg posts just because you can, only digg them if they are something new and interesting. Also, don't just copy an already really popular article from another site then copy it here and submit it to digg. It is likely that it has already been added to digg and it is always best to submit your own content if you can.
Also, we used to have a plugin that allows members to add YouTube videos to their posts by clicking the http://www.atkcommunity.com/images/editor/MC_video_icon.gif button when writing a post. I have removed this plugin and installed a better one that allows you simply to post the full URL of the video and it will convert it into a video which can be viewed here, so no tags are needed. It supports:
YouTube
Google Video
MySpace Video
MetaCafe Video
Yahoo Video
Koreus Video
Sapo Video
video.google.co.uk
Live Leak
Photobucket
Gametrailers
