Here is an awesome video made on TF2. I found it truly stunning and even a little sad, which is unusual for a video of this type! It was made by Lit Fuse Films (http://litfusefilms.com/), make sure you check out their site!


Ignis Solus is latin, and roughly translates to "burn alone". It is a bit of an experiment in improvised machinima, and as far as we can tell, also constitutes the first piece of Team Fortress Two machinima not created by Valve.

This video has reminded me of how much I love video editing. As soon as I get my new PC, I will be starting my own projects of this sort. I will also be experimenting with Adobe After Effects and trying to get to grips with it when I can. If you are interested in helping me make some films like this, please post below. I am especially interested if you are experienced with Photoshop, 3D/2D art, composing music, modelling and map creation. I am aware of a few people who fit some of these posts, but I am also interested in the other areas. If you want to help but aren't experienced with any of the above, we will still need actors :D .

Aww... how sad. You're right, we really should make some decent films like this, since Boat Assault, The Real meaning of Jet lag and The C2G Christmas Video weren't that brilliant. Well, you know what I can do, Photoshop, Flash, Mapping, some Adobe Premiere, could work out skinning and NOT voice acting. But of course I'll do normal acting.
We need to find out what they use to film this, because that quality is a lot better than what you get with Fraps.

I have a perfected Russian accent now, and building on Welsh, South African and Italian accents as well, German is quite easy. Kris' Chinese accent isn't crappy, it's authentic.

Record a demo(record "name")
Put everything on full(of course)
In console type:
host_framerate 100
then to start recording type:
startmovie "name"
this should now be recording the video will be very laggy but will come out fine.
Then with Virtual Dub get the first image file in you cstrike folder and it should gather all the images.
compress it how you want with x264 etc
then export/save as it and your done.
