We move on to an Intel based system! I picked the Ivybridge i5 CPU, as for gaming hyper-threading isn't necessary and the i5 a lot less money than the i7.
This time we are going for a custom cooler, and the Freezer 13 Pro represents great value for money, and a relatively easy install. Be looking to get a good overclock on your i5 with that cooler.
Again I've included a 1TB hard disk, but now you have a 64GB last generation SSD for your boot drive. You'll see marked improvements in general use of Windows. And space for your favorite game or 2 on there.
Also to keep the inside nice and tidy you have a nice modular PSU.You have a mid-top end GPU now too, which should be plenty of power to play all of the latest games on at least reasonable settings.
Top that off with dual channel 1600MHz RAM and a decent looking case, and you've got a PC any gamer would be happy to call their own, all for under £750.
