ATK Radio - It's Back!!

I am delighted to announce that the ATK Community RADIO station is now back online, bigger and better than ever before!!!

How do I tune in?
When the server is online, you will be able to see information about the server at the top of the forum home. However, we now also have a page just about the radio, which can be found here. If you would like to download the .pls file so that you can play it from a media player of your choice, please click here.

Over the next few days I will be giving out the required information to the people who have requested to be a DJ. I will also add commands on all of the game servers, so that you can simply tune in by typing "!atkradio"

Who provided us with this?
Direct Clan Hosting have been generous enough to provide us with this 100 slot server, and as a result the radio will also contain adverts for them. For those of you that don't know about DCH, here is a quote from our main page:

Huzzah, I'll DJ sometime, I think I've worked out how to broadcast live Skype conversations as well.

Oi Chalex, are you going to add the radio information along the top of the homepage again (showing what song is playing, etc.)? Otherwise people aren't going to know when to tune in if they're not on TS.

You will see that only when the radio is up, there is lots information on this page.

Oh right, didn't notice it there, but can we have it on the actualy homepage as well? Since more people are going to look at that than the forum index. Also, is it possible for the radio to display who is broadcasting?

Right, I have now added stats for ATK Radio on the homepage, and the DJs' names will also appear when they are broadcasting.

any word on the !atkradio command for the servers ?

How will the Ad's be broadcast about DCH, do we just have to mention them or do we have to DL an mp3?

I will do the server commands later tonight ez64, I have just been sorting out the DJ timetable and request system!!

About the DCH ads, for the moment you are just going to have say say something about them yourself until we have an mp3 from DCH which I will ask for at some point.

Chaz, how do you broadcast a Skype conversation and would it work for Teamspeak too?

Well I found this tutorial, but it didn't work for me, probably because I don't have a soundcard, but try it out yourself and tell me if you get it working.

I am happy to say that the request line and DJ timetable are now 100% live!!

Every DJ will need a login to be able to see the requests and book on the timetable, so I will sort that out later on TS. Vox already has a login if you want to know what it is like.

EDIT: The !atkradio command is also enabled on the TF2 server, although it may need a map change.
