Re: Monitors
I suggest you get a Samsung SyncMaster, it's what most people tend to buy when it comes to flat panels:

Re: Monitors
Are you looking for a TV with a built in tuner, or a monitor with a TV card in your PC? I have some suggestions either way, but always remember that with monitors the viewing angle is very important. For that price, you will only be able to get a TN panel monitor with 160 degree viewing angles.
Oh, and please make sure to add commas between you tags e.g. "monitors, help, advice, dvd". (I fixed it for you).

Re: Monitors
cheers guys, sorry bout the tags, was late haha!
Gonna have to go without any form of TV for a while, see what every1 else does on my floor first, so just need a monitor atm with the option of adding a TV card in the future

Re: Monitors
I know nothing of monitors, but my laptop and alot of new computers have really cool and sharp looking monitors, It looks like there's another pane of glass in front and is reaaallllly good looking, it looks completely different from the other LCD screens out there.
(Just go to a PC shop and look at the laptop and you'll understand what I mean)

Re: Monitors
If your just going for a monitor, as said before i suggest a Samsung Syncmaster as that is what i use and love it :) However i am planning in selling mine for a bigger one but still going to keep to the same family products.
My Monitor
However if you need the TV part build in £140 is sadly a bit low to get what you need. My brother uses a monitor/TV combo and ive got to say, its really impressive. Cant find the exact model of his but it looks almost identical to this.

Hope it was some help :)

Re: Monitors
This is the monitor I use, it's a 19" made by Cibox and the viewing angles are great, you can go as far up/left/right as you want and the contrast only slightly increases, however if you look down on the monitor, the colours tend to invert. Reviews on other sites are mainly 10/10 or 9/10, with only the odd one complaining about a "bad" pixel, but I have had no troubles at all.
EDIT: My only complaint is that the small panel on the right for the LED has flowers embossed, but that's just me being picky.
