Spammers

I have now deleted a few spammers' accounts, including basettasex's account. Twice. I really do think these are real people signing up to spam manually!

I will definitely take a serious look at the registration system over the weekend, and should hopefully be able to sort this out. Until then, can you post the usernames of all the spammers in here so I can delete their accounts permanently and ban their IPs etc. Thanks.

Banned one dude and I'm expecting to have to ban allot more, will be banning as soon as I see a thread by someone unknown.

banning them as they post isnt gonna do anything really, they'll use one of the other accounts (see above) that they have... and keep creating more until a better way of signing up is sorted out

And if anyone thinks of a person who's doing this and their name begins with H, I will personally punch you -_-

You can ban them by all means, but also post their account names here so I can permanently delete them and ban their IPs etc!

Just set it up so any new registered peeps need to have their email clarified by an admin before being allowed to post. Not like we get many new random people anyway.

Right, I have just spent a good hour setting up a completely new registration system with an extra 4 barriers before people can sign up. This should not stop real people from signing up, and since every vBulletin forum out there is getting hit by spam just like this, we are not alone. I have also deleted all the people that signed up to these forums in the last 3 days, which was over 100 ish people!!!

If we get yet more spam, I have a few more ideas :p.
