Get your home server out!

As i still dont ahve a job atm my parents are forcing me to do my MCSE course full-time - but it comes with its perks. I just convinced my dad I need £400 of new components to build the server :D

It will have a spec of:

AMD Phenom Quad Core 9950 @ 2.6GHz

Ive already got 8GB of ddr2 ram left from my old pc and i have my friends x1800xl that he doesnt use - so gogo uberservage :)

It's a home server, so don't get to excited about getting a good ping to it, unless Mitch has 1337 net :p.

Looks alright, I'm not exactly that clued-up on AMD systems.

as far as phenoms go thats a pretty fast 1. and i can run a cs server on my pc for you but your pings will all be around 100 or a bit higher if tehre are lots of people on coz even tho i have 5.5meg download i onyl have like 150k upload

lol mitch as if i didnt give u the idea but tbh mitch will prob b he best server hoster eeevver he always online and u can easily get hold of him, and trust worthy :P

lol chris youve made the exact same mistake as vicious did - its not a game server for online use - sure i could do it but pings would be over 100. Its to manage our home network and for work on MCSE
