CSS Mega Server Update!

Well I finally got round to updating the two CSS servers after my exams last month, and they are both almost finished, they just need testing for any errors. The old HnS 24 slot server has been replaced by a Reverse GunGame Server with lots of custom fun maps. The old Fun Maps 20 slot server has been replaced by a Normal Gametype Server, but it has about 15 of the very best custom de_ and cs_ maps I found on the internet! Hopefully these will prove popular and you guys enjoy them. If you want admin privileges on any of the servers, just ask me and i'd be happy to give you some options.

Reverse GunGame Server

Our new Reverse GunGame server is running SourceMod, the same as all our other Source Servers. Currently, the server has an N1G Stats Ranking system, and is running Event Scripts with the GunGame 5 script.

The server is currently using the round system, as opposed to deathmatch, but I can change that if that's what people want to try out. There are currently just under 35 different custom maps which I have picked out as the best for our server. Here is a full mapcycle list:

Normal Custom Maps Server

The new normal gametype server is running about 15 custom made top rated maps that feature either Hostage Rescue or Plant the Bomb gameplay (and one team deathmatch map). The server also runs the N1G Ranking system, and also a new banking plugin that runs off Event Scripts, that lets you bank your money permanently on the server. I am looking to create a map pack with all the maps on the server, as some are quite large (about 40mb) so it might take a while to download them from the server. The full mapcycle list is here:

These servers need testing folks, so jump on them and lets get some nice games running. As I said, I am looking to create compressed files with all the maps in them so you don't need to spend time downloading them from the server, compressed maps are 3x as small as uncompressed ones. Wow, looks awesome. Thanks for sorting all of that out.

However, for some reason I am unable to join the GG server (81.19.217.141:27018). I was always able to join it when it was HNS, but I just get the retry errors when connecting, and I can't seem to even see its status in steam or favourites. It's like it doesn't exist :(.

Would be awesome if you could look around to see if anything isn't as it should be. Has anyone else got the same problem?

EDIT: if it helps, my IP is 84.92.61.99 (static).

Trying them out now, taking a friggin age to download the map though :p

But that could be because of my stone age internet, but it all looks awesome GJ

Chalex how come you aren't on Steam.

Anyway, it works for me and Trigger, the IP you're using is right, I don't know what could be going wrong. You know more about this than me.

I don't like the custom map server idea. Which server do we use to play normal maps for Team A practice?

Use the normal gametype one, it can still play normal maps. I'll give you admin so you can change them.

I already have it on both, dont worry.

EDIT; Don't worry, I thought you changed the Match server we had - I should check the server lists first :S

No you don't. This is a completely fresh server so any previous admins need to contact me so I can put them on the list.

EDIT: Ah ok, nah Mitch still has full control over the Match server.

You have my SteamID already I think...

I also have a hunch as to why I can't connect, but I will let you know later if my suspicions are correct.

My hunch was correct, I was IP banned from the server. I removed my IP from banned_ip.cfg and I could connect fine.

I will be looking through the logs at some point to catch the culprit.

I can assure you it wasn't me, I haven't been on the HnS (now GG) server since around i34 time.

I've updated the admin file, unfortunately DCH has decided that I can't access the FTP or Panels for any of our server. You'll have to wait a bit until I can access them again.
