Transparent OLED Screen: Just like in Avatar!!

Samsung has just revealed a prototype 14" laptop with a beautiful transparent OLED screen.

Of course, I don't think we'd all appreciate that on our laptops, but there are loads of other possible uses. I loved the screens like this in Avatar :D.

That does look cool, just need them to make a screen without the laptop and have it recieve a video stream over wifi then you could have the same thing as in Avatar.

Avatar is hardly the first thing to make use of transparent screens lol but indeed win yes.

i just dont get the point?

Well it looks very futuristic, and it's nice to see something REAL that has been in so many films.

There are definitely applications for this though, but a touchscreen version would definitely be snazzier :).
