Erebus Mk.2 - It lives......finally
Yes, I finally got my PC working - YAY ME!!!
Turns out the two hard drives sent to me originally were both duds, so a quck RMA to WD and I'm up and running. I have no pics of it working yet, as the second I finished this morning, I had to go to work. But below are the pictures I've held onto since March of the stuff in it's boxes, hopefully I can get away early today and get some pics and benches for you later today.
But before I post those up, I need some advise on what wallpaper for my monitor; The choices are OPTION 1, OPTION 2, OPTION 3, OPTION 4 or OPTION 5? I'm leaning towards Option 2, but I'll wait and see what you guys say.
And now, the pic links (Warning, there effin' hooj)

Re: Erebus Mk.2 - It lives......finally
1. please use photobucket not imageshack......... photobucket would have autoresized those to some extent... i had to downlaod over 40MB to view this thread which took several mins at 5meg.
2. The links for your options arent working
Re: Erebus Mk.2 - It lives......finally
1. Dont have Photobucket account so CBA with that. But your fair in sayng that the pictures fuck you over - I've switched it to just the links, and put an effin' hooj warning on it.
2. I noticed that just now - fixed.
Re: Erebus Mk.2 - It lives......finally
Option 3, or 5. Also: You REALLY need to find something better to plaster over your desktop... You know, something that dosen't look like roadkill?
Re: Erebus Mk.2 - It lives......finally
I vote for option 5 :D.
Nice PC, I'll be round in next time you're working to steal the Essence ST(X) off of you :p
Re: Erebus Mk.2 - It lives......finally
Option 4 is the best in my opinion.
Re: Erebus Mk.2 - It lives......finally
Had a feeling you'd say that Chaz, since it's all photoshoppy :D
And lol at you VoX, I remember you being the one to recommend that one to me :P I'll let you know how sweet it is soon.
Re: Erebus Mk.2 - It lives......finally
Got the same pure pwnage poster and a doug one :D
Re: Erebus Mk.2 - It lives......finally
Definitely option 2 there Oric. There's nothing like a good closeup :p. Option 4 is a little too dreamy for me.
Other than that, good job on finally having some sort of PC put together! Now get gaming you fool :D.

Tis all part of my elaborate plan to steal it from you :p.
Although in all seriousness, you're going to need to grab something a lot better than the Failtailities to get the most out of that card, Sennheiser HD555 (modded to become HD595s, or just buy the HD595s if you can afford hehe) or Goldring NS1000s/DR150 (NS1000s apparently sound incredible from an amped source, and the Essence has a headphone amp built in, so pure win there) are good for mixes of Music and gaming, while Audio Technica ATH-AD700s are great for gaming (Or the ATH-A700s if you like bass, AD700s are apparently quite light in terms of bass but are brilliant for positional audio). That, and stick to FLAC/WAV (Any lossless format really)

I know - we had this discussion before. And I said I would look into it after getting everything together. I just wanted to make sure everything worked first before I started blowing out on equipment I might not need :S

Thats what I thought. And I gotta install 88 games on steam first, and the largest is about 10GB :S. Although the smallest is about 50MB, so it should balance out.

1 or 4
But I still say you need to buy screens to facilitate summer glau in the summer.
Re: Erebus Mk.2 - It lives......finally
I got over having women as wallpapers a while ago. Lately, I like men in armour.
Re: Erebus Mk.2 - It lives......finally
/sigh, Guild Wars..........
