Heres a pic of it working in Ki's bedroom in teh daytime on the front of his white plastic window blind:

Anyway, we got the builders (that still havent finished....) to put up a shelf to put the projector on in our living space and we have white walls so thats win already :)
Also as the nearest window is in the attached kitchen and at a bad angle we dont get much glare in the day either :)
This is what its like, size of about 140" i believe but dont have a measure to see the length of projection or the screen diameter.

And with the lights on to help you get some scale (the lights are quite bright).

Colour doesnt come through very well on the fone camera, but the colours are very deep in teh dark, tho suffer in the bright lights.
After setting it up we got our sound system setup, my old sony 1 i brought to i34 if anyone remembers, and then me and 4 housemates and 1 housemates friend spent around 3 hours on rock band :D
More pics to follow.
Re: Pimp my communal living space!
Good luck getting any replies. This forum is officially dead.
Looks nice though.
Re: Pimp my communal living space!
It's always "dead" while we're back at uni! We're a close knit group and it'll get more active as people have settled back into uni life.
Anyywayyy that's awesome stuff there Mitch. Seriously much better value than a £500 TV. From what I gather though, you can play 1080p but not actually display it. I guess that's pretty minor though for the cost you got it at :D.
Re: Pimp my communal living space!
Looks awesome, just need voice controls round the house and robot guards :D
Re: Pimp my communal living space!
Basically yeah chalex, it stays 720p but it lets u use a 1080p input and makes up for the pixel difference, tho at the size / distance you cant tell much difference, and a true fullhd projector with good contrast brightness etc is like £3k xD
Re: Pimp my communal living space!
Looks pretty awesome, was thinking about getting a projector instead of a new TV..
When this TV dies, I think I will get a projector.
- And lovely doses of pessimism Calneon.

I know you love it.
Re: Pimp my communal living space!
Its only dead while I dont have internet, and it is pretty fucking awesome, like having a cinema in your uni accomodation :D

Tbh, has the forum not been loading for anyone else today?
