WTS - Canon 1000D + Kit Lens + Grip
Selling my old 1000D, kit lens and grip to fund an upgrade, would love to keep this as a smaller and more portable camera but funds don't allow me to.

Including all of the standard box contents (so body, lens, charger, leads, strap etc) and a Phottix grip that also fits the 450D, along with 2 extra LP-E5 batteries that came with the grip and a Canon 58mm UV protector for the lens.
The shutter count of the camera sits at just over 7k

Extra images of the items can be found here and can provide more specific images on request along with sample images (final edits and shots straight out of camera) if wanted.
Looking for £250 collected or am able to arrange a meet most areas in London.
Any questions/offers feel free to ask.
Callum.

Re: WTS - Canon 1000D + Kit Lens + Grip
how much would these items cost new (online from a reputable but not expensive retailer), how old are they, is there anything to not about damage, scratches, problems etc.
Re: WTS - Canon 1000D + Kit Lens + Grip
Lol hutch :p.
The camera + lens go for £384 on Amazon and the grip and extra batteries are £69 on Amazon again (both items purchased on Amazon originally as was the cheapest around when searching). No damage other than minor cosmetic marks (which are very minor, as shown by the pics) and the rear display is scratch-less (at least to the extent of I have never noticed any after extensive use.)

I may actually consider making you an offer of some sort.
How long does 1 set of batteries last?
What are you replacing it with?
Re: WTS - Canon 1000D + Kit Lens + Grip
Well I'm open to reasonable offers.
I've never actually been caught out with the batteries to know a rough length, but before I had the grip (so could only use a single battery at a time and only had the 1 battery) I'd go at least a week light/med use without the need to charge it, and it went a long weekend abroad of intensive use on a single battery. The battery grip allows two to be used at a time, effectively doubling the battery life of the cam.
Replacing it with a Canon 50D which is a step up into the pro-sumer market. Only real reason for the upgrade is that doing more professional/paid work I need something that can do a very fast burst and not fill up the camera buffer quickly when shooting RAW, along with controlling studio lighting natively (Ok these aren't really needs, just makes my life easier lol). If I didn't need the cash from the sale of this then I'd most likely keep the 1000D, as combined with a 50mm prime its an extremely compact camera for days out that's got a lot more punch than a point and shoot.

I will think about this.
