Issues with laptop drivers

I've just reinstalled Windows on my laptop because it was incredibly slow and now I'm having issues sorting out drivers.

I have an Acer Aspire 5740G running Win 7 Ultimate x64.

I've been on the Acer site and downloaded the drivers from there but that doesn't seem to have worked all that well; mainly for the graphics as I have the solid colour task bar instead of the semi-transparent one.

I've downloaded the Catalyst Control Centre twice, and also used the graphics drivers from the Acer site. I'm also stuck in 1024x768 atm.

Any ideas?

Right Click on desktop > Personalize > Aero Themes - Click one of those.

It should change the taskbar into the Aero one. It always defaults to basic whenever I reinstall Windows too

try the driver from the amd site always worth a try

That changed the task bar, so happy about that.

But it wasn't liking the graphics drivers. But it's all sorted now a friend of mine helped :) So ta people =]
