Old PC Resurected
Ok, so those of you on teamspeak will have heard me searching for help in resurecting my old PC, well I've managed to fix it.
It was stuck on the activate windows screen and here's how I got rid of it:
I went into the BIOS and booted from CD (a WinXP 32Bit Upgrade) and then I chose to re-install windows. It was complaining at me saying that WinXP is already installed, so, easily enough, I set it to format the HDD (all 6GB of it!) and then install it on there.
After installing Alienware to make it look a bit nicer, here is the finished product:

The CPU capacity is so high because it is only 500MHz, the RAM usage is high because there is only 128MB of it and the 27% of HDD space is only used by WinXP and Alienware.

Re: Old PC Resurected
So why the hell have you put themes on a 500mhz CPU and only 128 of pc-133?
Thats a unusable pc in my opinion, would be barely ok with all effects turned off, its ok for a torrent box but just about.
if it works fair enough but it would 10x faster without all the shiny.

Re: Old PC Resurected
I had the Alienwares skin VoX, it makes your cpu raise like hell.

Re: Old PC Resurected
Don't skin an old PC with tiny amounts of Ram, CPU and HDD.... use it for flash games so you can play them slowly and get HUGE scores.

Re: Old PC Resurected
I was more happy with the fact that I managed to do it, it's an achievement for me!
Heres some screenies from CPU-Z. Believe it or not it has 3 RAM slots, even if if is SDRAM.
