Ok guys, it's the summer holidays, most of us have a lot of time on our hands, so we need to make a film.
I suggest we begin with a fairly short music video, rather than jumping straight into a huge film project. The only problem is making a comedy music video can be quite hard.
I think we could give Paper Tiger's idea a go, the one posted just above, with not much voice acting and mostly with music played over the top. What do you all think?

The nuke part should be easy, there's so many Gmod addons for a nuclear explosion.
yes i know, i was thinking of using stargate naquadah bomb, it has nice effect, and the map should be ???

I'm going to need to make a storyboard for this film, so we need to come up with a definite storyline, so here's how I'm guessing it could basically go, based on Paper Tiger's idea. Post anything yo think should be added to it, so well all agree on what we want to do:
Begins with a mansion/large building in the middle of the countryside at night, where we all live. A figure dressed in black is infiltrating the building, sneaking past guards, using gadgets, the usual. He gets into the high security room were the companion cube is stored, gets past the lasers, etc and snatches the companion cube. All this will be similar to scenes in films like the Pink Panther. He nearly gets caught by a guard or summat on the way out, and escapes. The next morning we all wake up and discover the disaster that has happened. The thief has left some evidence, so we begin to track him down. We find out he's staying the night in a nearby town, on the way back to his evil paymaster. A car chase ensues around the town, which ends in one of us getting shot by the thief as he holds a knife to the companion cube's neck. This makes us want to seek out revenge even more, and we follow the thief back to the villain's hideout. we break in very loudly, and a gun fight takes place between us and some guards. We find the villain, and there's a big gasp when we see who it is (need to decide who though). He presses a button, and the majority of us fall through a trapdoor or summat, the one person who is left has to make the decision between their friends and the companion cube, but somehow tricks the villain and manages to save both, but there is an anticlimax as the companion cube is tossed into the air and falls into the incinerator (slow-mo). This is all very sad, and ones of us accidentally hits the nuke button, and everything explodes. The End.
I was thinking, to display ourselves in the film, I could try and put a Flash animation over the top of a Gmod film, wadda you think?
Also, can anyone contact Paper Tiger? He should know that we're using his idea.
the car chase would be nice in San andreas multi player, as i have not tested GTA4 i so dont know about that
I think we should make the whole film in just the source engine, so it's more professional, and using different games will make the film seem disjointed and not continuous.
yes but also funny, to see some1 in a car chase then suddenly appear in gmod in some crappy textured mansion :p

Car chase, then go into a deathrun map with some random trap that kills/injures most...?

Ok, I've think be thinking about the film a lot recently, and have come up with most of the maps I think we should use, suggest any you think would be good in the film.
I think the film should be recorded in both Gmod10 and Gmod9, Gmod10 because it is far better for filming, with cameras that follow objects, etc. And Gmod 9 since some maps we need don't work in Gmod10, and because most people here have Gmod9 and don't want to pay for Gmod10.
Say below whether you have Gmod10 or not, so we can determine which shots we use Gmod10 in.
I'll post a separate thread about this film later, with storyboards, etc.

I wasnt talking about the zero point energy device found in the pegasus galaxy in season 2 episode 6 : entitled Trinity, i was talking about a single zero point module (aka zpm for anyone whos jsut caught a glimpse of stargate and doesnt no what it stands for) in Stargate SG-1 where baal makes it easy for SG-1 to find but sabotages it to detonate when energy is run through it - episode 4 season 8 : entitled Zero Hour. where sam calculates that it would have had the power to wipe out the solar system (i only added or 2 for effect :P)
