It's a battlefield, it doesn't have to be full of pretty colours.

What? it's a battlefield set in a snowy area. Now I don't know what you know about it, but snowy areas are generally white. And grey. White and Grey.
Are you complaining that they made snow white?
You realise there not all set in snow also, the Ps3 beta had its map set in the desert, gonna be a lot of varied maps
The only thing that could let the game down is the weapon system, in MW2 its only thing in the game that works really well and in the BF2 the weapon system failed pretty badly.

I realise that yes. Its not about the limited colour palette, more about the design, its hard to explain but everything looks a... washed out. Like the colour that is there doesn't stand out at all (e.g. the Russian flag on the tank looks a bit dull, probably intentional so it doesn't give it away, but still.) I'm still hoping that the other maps won't feel like that.Quote:

when do you ever find groups of enemies with circa 1cm between them?
When do you ever get close enough to enemies that the shotgun becomes effective anyway? :p Maybe indoors I guess, but even then the knife is more effective.
Also the only weak LMG is the first one, but once you get an upgraded one it becomes a monster.
