Steam did this with ATI a while ago, offering a free copy of HL2 to anybody with an ATI Card.
Seems a tad weird, I thought Steam had always supported ATI more. They might as well make HL2 Deathmatch completely free since it has been offered to both ATI and Nvidia users, which are the most popular GFX card manufacturers.
I refute that claim with my Matrox Millennium P650 Parhelia LX 64MB Graphics Card :)

So is Lost Coast, but it's still a game (and FREE). TBH, If you don't already have steam and HL2 (and the Orange Box), you really should get them asap.

no oric. with hl2 follows hl2 lost coast, but hl2 dm costs 5bucks, and its sold with the hl2 complete package!
I got HL2 Game Of The Year Edition and it came with HL2, HL2: Deathmatch, HL1: Source, HL2: Lost Cost, CS:S and loads of demo's that are free anyway.
No, HL2LC was released as a free tech demo by Steam that could be downloaded free. HL2DM comes with the HL2 package, or can be purchased on its own. So what I posted was correct.Quote:

Your misreading what I am saying. LC IS FREE ON STEAM REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU OWN HL2 OR NOT. NOW STOP POSTING CRAP!
Let's settle this. Go onto steam, right click Lost Coast, select update news. Click very bottom title that says 'HL2: Lost Coast Avaliable Now'. Read what it says in the first line.
Also consider the wikipedia entry on Lost Coast. In the first paragraph these lines can be read:Quote:
