ATK CnC-Shockwave 1v1 Tournament?

Seeing as loads of us have pulled out the shockwave, I think a tournament would be a good idea. There will be 8 slots, in a 1v1 format. I will need one of the people with dominion over the Tournament part of the site to add it in/give me the power to do it. Going on assumption, I have added some names already, the (AC) standing for awaiting comfirmation. All matches are to take place over Hamachi, with the first person in the bracket hosting, unless the two people in the match agree to host it through the other person. Rules will be firmed up at a later date.

Shame you couldnt choose any of the Dozen decent Rts's that me and phantom own, we could show you a thing or two :D

We have an odd number, add me and it's a 10-piece tourney..

I just play for fun really with this mod as there are far too many imbalances with it for example super cheap helix's that can take down a base by running round the back......

So are you in or out ez?

lol shockwave is less imbalanced than zero hour. remember inf listening outposts, or alfa auras, emp patriots, king raptors, all invincible in zh.

also if its 1v1 why is it limited to 8 players??

Sounds like a great idea Oric. I have now given you privileges to create your own tournaments & ladders. I hope you can do everything you need to do on it.

I have also opened up the ladders section of the competitions area for everyone, so if anyone wants to create a ladder get a thread up and see if anyone else is interested! I will then give you the admin you need.

its not a laugh its just annoying having 10 minute games that just end because of imbalances.

amphib tanks that can run anywhere on the map just isnt enjoyable playing and neither are helix's running in at 5 minutes into the game and ending it.

I wish we could have a tournament with an RTS I own. Company Of Heroes, Dawn Of War 2, Supreme Commander, Red Alert 3, Warcraft 3...

Why not organise one? If there arent' enough people from the community who own the game, then we can advertise it to random people too.

LOL l4D tournament, like the TF2 one but we can run it durin easter so hopefully we will have more activity and players :P

I'm out for the same reasons as ez, plus I'm shit.

Apart from CoH I play own and play everyone when time allows :).

We'll have to have a game sometime.

its nothing to do with that, the game is quite messed up with the shockwave mod not having been through balancing alpha's/betas.

Oric - you should consider changing the tournament to zero hour to entice more people to play and make it morecompetitive on skill than gen choice. Shockwave isnt finished yet and many of the new units are rather shocking or awsome. it balances old stuff but the new stuff kinda isnt. Shockwave untill its released is really to add a bit of variety rather than serious.

Also, at another point a 2v2 tourny, or a 2v2v2v2 tourny would be EPIC.

yeh shuld be on zero hour but no sw gen because alfa auras r too good

OK - I'll change it to a bog standard zero hour tournament, and I assume those entered will want to still play, so we only need to full the remaining slots. (Any 'Your Mum' or 'That's What She Said' made after this post will be met with post editing questioning the posters mental stability in terms of their relationships with children and animals. EDIT - Currently, Col Mitch, Fred, DE and myself are the four entrants, with four slots left. If more than four want to enter ZH, then I'll increase the slotage available, so more people can enter.
