So what could it be? CSS2, HL3...or a completely new IP? Obviously everyone's hoping for EP3.

My bet is that it's going to be Half Life 3. They've had enough bloody time.

Maybe valve are just sad to see the last of Half Life? (Going off of an old announcement that there wouldn't be ep4, or a HL3.)

It's Half Life 3. I so fucking bet it is. Why would he reply so confidently if he didn't have something better than Ep3.

I agree with Phant (or at least I want to :p). He's just milking it for all it's worth.

I predict that what they eventually release will not be on the source engine as it's pretty old now. They needed to start from scratch, which is why it's HL3.

Half Life 3 would be great, combine it with Portal 2 to make the Yellow/Green/Purple/Blue/Whatever Box and it'd be ten times awesome.

If this is another L4D i will cry.... but if its HL3 i will die for excitement.

It's not going to be another L4D, because that would make people hate them, and it's not another Portal because they said it's not Portal. If that email is true, it's not Ep3, that leaves us with HL3 or some completely new game.

They've had so long, and they haven't been working on anything else the past year, it just makes so much sense that it's HL3.

Yeah looks too simple to be real... although that subtle G-man face below the central text is effing creepy.

Why announce HL3 when we've had nothing on Ep. 3 yet. They did say around the beginning of Ep. 1 that they were treating the three episodes as HL3, at least in nature if not by name. It would seem odd to me if it was HL3 - my guess is a massive mind clusterfuck and it's Portal 2 and Ep.3.

Guess they misjudged the announcement - it was very Portal 2 themed, but no one picked up on that eh. Or didn't care.
