Anyone think DK is becoming the Oric of i-Series by having very annoying quibbles for no reason? If anything, the end is prime real estate.

You can, of course, bite me oric. I don't want to be lumped on to the end and left out. Considering it's a social event, that's a quibble with a good reason.
Everyone drinks - we require 8 pints of water a day to maintain a healthy standard of living, and being closer of the bar gives you more time gaming.
And you won't always be sat down - you'll be camp loling and the like, along with the people beside you, in front of you and behind you when you are gaming. The trick is to sit next to someone you get on with really well and go from there. Piers has sat at the end for the last couple that I was there, and I never heard any complaints of anti-socialism from him.
I sat on the end at the last LAN, so everyone has to have their turn eventually.
Actually, by sitting at that end you are likely to speak to more people than most. We'll probably be visiting the bar rather often :p.
I've taken a look, and am muy happy with this. Probably the first time that everyone (who matters) is happy with the seating plan.

Yeah, on the MPUK forums people we're also saying U18s are allowed in the bar, just not to drink. When do you get the cloth wrist band? Is that over 16 or over 18?
thats a reall good point - its 18 for the adult band. At ilite there was only 1 band so they cudnt check that.... tho tbh im sure people will buy u drinks if u want them.Quote:

The whole point of these threads in the past has been to make sure EVERYONE'S happy, not EVERYONE, but the one guy that the community seems to hate this month.
Can't a compromise be reached? IE: My only conditions were to be sat with ATK, and not on the end. The end has been described as "prime real estate", so i'll happily give it up for a more central seat (because I hate people walking past me while I game).

Once again, I don't want to be at the end. Can you change your design to make EVERYONE happy?
The problem is that we'd have to move everyone around. Chances are, people won't be as happy with their new positions. I don't think there's much harm in trying, but we can't promise you a perfect position.
You may not like the idea of being on the end, but it definitely won't be as bad as you think.

Ok here is my two cents, if someone told me i had to be on the end, i would be pissed i can understand why DK does not want to and to be honest i don't want the idea that someone has paid to go to i40 to see the people he plays with, his friends then is told that hes gonna sit on the end, i remember voicing my opinion during seating and i stated i don't want to sit on the end as i only want to go for the social aspect, i think if DK really is against this, as i would be, something should be done about it.
I'm more than happy to rip on him about things like this but when it comes to being serious i don't want someone going to i40 unhappy with where they sit, and if no one at all want to sit on the end or just does not care, even though i really don't want to i wouldn't mind playing short straws rather than sticking it with someone that wont really argue to effect (no offence DK)
But yeh, i'm happy with where i am i love it i'm pretty central i get get abused by target and i can tell bloo for 3 days just how awesome i am (don't worry i'm kidding) so yeh enjoy my view!

Only one I like is 1st one, but I know Marshy doesn't like it.
I'm cool with most things as long as I've got Nick and Gary next to me, having Chaz, Chalex and Bloo within throwing distance is a plus too.

I preferred the original seating plan a lot more to be honest... in these I'm one from the end like I was at i37...
How about we just rearrange our desks into a circle so no one's on the end, I'm sure the staff will be more than happy with that.

Well I'll double-check with him but I don't think Bloo really minds where he sits, so if we go with the second or third revision we could move Setsoru and I one nearer to Chalex, which makes sense since I might need to sit next to him if I have to make an image for the projector or summat like last time.Quote:
