I'm not sure whether to get the PS3 or the Xbox 360, I've played on a 360 and it's awesome.

The PS3 is the cheapest blu-ray player in existence. Here is one of the most truthful adverts for it:

If I had the money I would get a PS3, but personally I would rather have a better PC :D .

i think everyone has been put off by the PS3's stupid price thats why it hasn't been as popular as the 360 when that 1st came out both consoles where rushed i feel and not enough games are out on them to tell properly but in the early stages got to be 360 FTW.
360 have the best games, its cheapest and am a xbox fan so i voted 360...
Being a PS2 and PSX owner you would expect me to go straight for PS3 but no... If I had the money I'd go straight for the XBOX 360, because of gears of war and the price. Ive played on both, the PS3 multiplay in some ways is better but Xbox live makes having friends easier.
i much prefer the 360, i do like sony but the prize is a bit to much so i got a 360, and so far its failed to unimpress me
PS3 because the 360 had problems within the system when it was released when the PS3 it the more classic and better console with no problems at all

And your wrong. Despite the fact it says I voted X360, the PS3 is now better considering that Blu-ray > HD-DVD and they just cut the price and slimmed it.

Someone should create a new thread on this topic really, things have changed quite a bit as Oric said.
Also, Halo series = fail.
360 got mostly fanboys of Halo, hell, most 360 owners and fanboys that hate the PS3 as it didn't have their beloved game.
Classic case of MS buying an exclusive (happened with Gears of War too.)
PC > 360+PS3 added together.
PS3 as chalex said cheapest blu ray player + better grafix on a decent tv and hd cable. Xbox probably better for online but you have to pay for it, ps3 you can just plug in and use. Both consoles have pretty much the same games, apart from the obv like halo. Always preferred the ps controllers aswell, where always a lot smaller which made button pressing easier.
Probably Xbox 360, because I know (and like) more people with a Xbox 360 than I do on the PS3. Also because it has Mass Effect and that's the only game series on a console I care about.

Just moved PS3 downstairs today and got myself a decent HDMI cable (20 bloody quid! Was cheapest I could find that wasn't online) and plugged it into my T240, and all I can say is PS3 in 1080p is sexy, although you do notice a slight lack of AA.
Will try and borrow a Blu-Ray film off someone and check it out, should look pretty epic!
could always get both like me :D and i still cnt decide which is better, but im swinging towards the xbox atm.
what game u playing on the ps3? some games look sexier than others in full hd
GTA4 looks shite, everything is wayyyy over post-processed (I can't see anything during the day as there's SOOO MUCH FRIGGIN BLOOM) Skate2 looks good in the actual game but menu's etc are a bit blurry, and Fallout 3 is just generally t3h sex.
That's the only 3 games I got atm, sold a few a while back and got Skate 2 and sold CoD:4 to DE's brother yesterday.
The only real advantage the 360 has over the PS3 is that it's slightly cheaper. Other than that the PS3 is a better console, objectively speaking.
You save the money back pretty much instantly though as you have a free online system and a much better console with the PS3.
Or, I can save you from becoming a consoletard if you send me the price of a PS3, which I can buy a good computer for myself with.
All in the name of saving you, of course.
Or have a pc and a ps3.
