2011 DWPS - Introduction and Nomination Thread

Since it would appear there is quite a bit of interest in it, I’ll start prepping the system.

One problem from last year was that people were nominating the same gals, resulting in confusion as well as some bartering for a nomination. Along with this, there were also some members with 5 nominations and some with 1, as well as the consensus picks and wild cards which also limited the number for others whilst benefiting certain people (I’ll admit that two of those four nominations benefited me directly). Therefore, there will be NO COMMUNITY OR WILD CARD SELECTIONS like the last event - if someone isn't picked up, they're not in.

We will again us the ‘first-come-first-taken’ method we used last time. The rules for selection will remain the same as before:

Nominate up to four individuals
Brackets will begin when a respectable number have been compiled
Any first-round byes will be randomly allocated
Any gal in the world can be nominated, provided there are several good-quality images freely available on the interwebs or sent to me via PM. Obviously stupid nomination will naturally be ignored.

NEW RULE - you can only nominate up to two of your four picks from last time, but anyone else can take anyone from the list. For example, I could take Kaley Cuoco and Alyson Hannigan, not allowing me to take Yvonne Strahovski or Jen Ledger (my other two picks), but anyone else can come along and pick Yvonne (looks at Phant) or Jen if they so desired.

Remember - you can click on the name of a nomination to get a looky-link, and as seems to be a trend from last year, if your not happy with the image I've put up, feel free to post a link to another for me to update it with.

Really Oric, you haven't seen anyone else in the last 12months better than your standard picks!!!

Not been broken yet, so I am adding this rule now - you can only nominate up to two of your four picks from last time, but anyone else can take anyone from the list. That is one solid list. How I forgot about Marisa Miller on my shortlist I will never know. Portman and Tatou are really nice choices too, both longlisters for me. Probs the most solid four I've seen from both series so far. Added in, and your four are done.

BTW - to all, you can change your lineup until the thing starts, your not locked in until then. Chances are Cuoco will be leaving my four, so if someone else wants to have her in their four, feel free.

EDIT2 - OK, so the updated table is up at the start of the thread, with image links and all - feel free to request a different image if you so desire. Just out of curiosity, I averaged the ages for everyones noms so far - results below.

@ Chris - The Two Charlies in Milf Hunter - both are at 34.5 and 33.25 :D. No wild card choices yet, and chances are they're won't - Chalex and quite a few others haven't made selections yet. I'll keep noms open until at least the 10th, when I have a chance to run through everything. Who did you want to be put on the shortlist as a wild card then?

Probs why I've never heard of her. I went on the side, and there is no picture that I can find of her that satisfies the decency rule of 'no nudes' (it's there to not make us look like complete perverts). Judging by the fact it took me ages to find her, I query her credentials to be in the DWPS under the "several good-quality images freely available on the interwebs or sent to me via PM" rule. Please prove me wrong though, very nice selection :D

What is it with you lot nominating chav mag gals by the way :S - The alt-girl section of that mag is pretty sweet though.

Some of those Melissa Clarke images are fine,so can you make a choice of which two of those three gals you want to nominate.
