Agree with the image, I plan to enjoy tomorrow morning though sleeping :D lol
I have every Friday off anyway :D
heavy drinking will ensue :)
Haha, I couldn't care less about the Wedding, but the 4 day weekend? I'll gladly take that ^^
Not bothered about the wedding or the Friday off, as I finished uni on 10th of April so am now spending most my time revising :s
Good Luck with your exams!
i don't care for the royal family as a general thing. 2 people getting married, whats not to like :)
I like the idea of monarchy, but I'm not so interested in the wedding itself.
I couldn't care less about the wedding. I'm more interested in how crazy everyone is going over it, and also how much we're probably paying for this through taxes.
As for a lie in, or a day off... Not for me. I'm working 11 1/2 hours tomorrow. 0815-1945 XD
I'll probably flick on to see the main wedding bits, as something of quite this scale isn't going to happen again any time soon to our royal family. Apparently at least 2 billion people will be watching!!
Probably mostly Americans :p.
I couldn't give a flying fuck. Who cares? All they do is sit around, opening play parks and shopping centers and sponge of the state for a reasonable sum, and them allowing someone else into that illustrious role is really not cause to spend enough money to create schools and university places.
Don't forget Spreadsheets.
I know it's cool to 'not give a fuck', but I watched 30 mins of the actual ceremoney (got bored when they started singing hymns). I enjoyed the spectacle. Obviously it's debatable whether so much money should have been spent but I think it's important as part of British culture that things like this are big events. I'm not really defending the monarchy but there's a reason other countries envy it, it does bring a lot of personality to the country. Who knows, when William is in charge he might actually do something.
True, and not to mention how much this must have caused a boon to the tourist industry.
Most of our money spent on them is actually just for security, which would be necessary still if we abolished the monarchy. They own a lot of their own property which is where most of their spending comes from. They also give huge contributions to charity, and their presence generates a lot of income for Britain, far more than we spend on them. We'd seem like dicks if we cast them out. And why do away with tradition? If we did we'd have Dave Cameron as President, which would be far worse. Republicanism is foolish and misguided. the only reason why we would have to get rid of the monarchy would be if they interfered with government which they don't. It's a happy day for Britain and one of the few times we can celebrate our nationality without seeming racist or horrifically right wing. Just enjoy it.
@Cal and Hutch
Agreed :D
I love the way you said sponge Oric without considering just how much money the Royals rake in for this country. And all those people that complained about the amount spent on the wedding, when the amount of money it makes is so much more :D
Despite what he's been saying, if Oric was given the opportunity to marry into the royal family and become king, he'd love it. Then hate it when the royal responsibility got too much.
It was worth watching just because the Middleton sisters are "Bang Tidy" XD
You see the woman sat behind the Queen during the ceremony? Dem boobs...
And in record time this conversation has devolved to the lowest form of male instinct :D
What have i started! :D
LOL, its just so wrong when Chalex does it :s
YOU HAD TIME TO WATCH A FILM, YOU KNOW WHAT FILM I WOULD LIKE TO SEE, i40 !!!!! IN HD PLOX
