Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
Pretty cool especially with advice on how to kill certain bosses, I'll watch more if you make them once I get to the certain FPs :)
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
Thanks mate!
We have a few more on our channel already but they are more recordings of live streams we have done. We also have a guild if your looking for people to play with! We are based in London as well!
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
Not a fan if im honest. I keep just looking back at EVEonline. MMORPG perfection IMO
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
SWO = only mmo with a challange ..., (without thoes amazing spreadsheets of eve ofc .. like paying for a second ofice job ftw)
keep the vids comming i believe my sw guild will be making some too befor long (focus on pvp vids for long term sucess) <------- extreeme drunkness while wrighting this
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
EVE is a challenge. hardest game there is. you cant spend 2 years working on something in SWO and have someone fuck it up in 2 minutes and thats it. end of. like you can in EVE can you?
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
Yeh EVE was/is pretty special.
Hopefully have another video up this week glad you guys liked the first one!
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
I watch this and just think.. yeah GW was good. we dont want a reskin
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
It would have been nice to see even a bit of innovation aside from the improvement in questing. I mean, everything in that video looks like WoW. The movement, the combat, the interface, the dungeons, the party roles, all identical to WoW, but with a different skin.
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
everything in star wars seems to have a meaning whereas wow was just here have some gear :D and star wars is way better than the lord of the rings based fantasy dribble you get fed with any fantasy game ^^
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss

but worse LOLSUP I was doing a warsong gulch earlier Nick and it was the strangest thing, what i wanted to happen on the screen, are you ready for this, actually happened on the screen. Heres how i can explain it, SWToR and WoW are like starcraft 1 and 2, the only reason people think swtor (starcraft 1) is harder is because the game just doesnt work well, it has clear flaws which make little things like combat difficult e.g. auto attack being a seperate move this means to wait to interrupt a heal you CANT be autoattacking as it will put a GCD on your inturrupt. WoW on the other hand (starcraft 2) has these flaws ironed out meaning that gameplay is A LOT smoother and somethink it is a lot easier because they know what to do.
TL;DR not harder just worse game mechanics making it seem harder

Except that metaphor is flawed for a number of reasons which aren't really relevant.
The autoattack mechanic is better, I think, I imagine it would be difficult to use a lightsaber and cast a spell at the same time. And to an element of gameplay, it means you actually might have to manage what abilities you use once in a while.
Secondly, positioning and cognition are actually important in SWTOR, compared to WoW where most of the time you just sit and do a rotation, with an occasional interrupt when they're casting a heal.
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
if its so flawed why is wow copying it in kung fu panda? :/

Not only are they not copying it, e.g there is no auto attack button its going to be skills that cost nothing so you choose, they will probably do it better. SwToR might make it better but i dont think it will be in the end.
And yeah i understand managing skills is good but when you cant manage skills when you do not know what the enemy's going to do most heals on starwars are a max of 1 second, thats like GCD. It has good PvE but the PvP on it seems flawed, not balance wise just the way the game works.
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
correct me if im wrong but dosnt the monk class have it? and i can imagine the rest of the classes following so, but maybe it might just stay with monk iono
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
Monk class does indeed have an autoattack ability which must be pressed.
Also, as a side note, the 0.5 second global cooldown from autoattacking is much less than the 2.5 seconds that it takes to cast a healing spell, so you can in fact cast an interrupt easily.
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
Picks longest healing spell, uses it in example
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
The shortest I have is 2.0, and that heals me for 70, so interrupting that would be waste of time.
(Sit Down.) :D
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
Actually the bounty hunter is a healer class.
However, that brings in the context; you're attacking the healer.
If the healer is busy healing themselves, they're not going to have the time or mana to be healing somebody else on their team, which means that they're effectively useless in a fight as they'll probably be specced to heal.
This means that the other members of their team are not being healed, and so you are, in effect, making a big effect on a fight, regardless of whether or not you're actually killing the healer. So the healer's useless, and will soon be dead as they can't continually heal themselves through your damage, and now you refocus onto another target, who is not a healer, now you can use your CC to stop their self-heals or CC effectively.
Problem solved.
The point you bring up, is not an issue.
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
High level PvP the healer will be healing both him and his friends in both star wars and WoW the healer will be keeping him and his team up in fights all im saying is its very very hard to interrupt a heal which is a massively important part of PvP
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
i will say taking down a healer at 50 is hard but its not due to global cool down or having a auto attack as a attack its just there's not enough cc and interrupt from one person unless its a operative/scoundrel which is fair enough due to there being a valid counter :)
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
id love to teach you all how to heal its called not being a retard and when they look like their moving a little closer fake cast and win ... HUZZZAH
Re: SWTOR - Cademimu Boss
and to kill a healer 1 on 1 save interupt for their main heal with a cd ... need to learn what it is for each class ... and stay on him till he falls over also keeping an eye on their energy/mana/whatever to see if your close or nowhere near
