LAN clothing discussion - Shirts or Hoodies

We'll the time is getting near and its time to start dealing with this.

Post your thoughts on either hoodies or shirts for LAN.

Bear in mind that the hall is always hot enough to not want to wear a hoodie comfortably, tho then again if its a decent quailty hoodie you could wear it without a shirt and it would be ok I guess.

most of the hate shirts seem to be getting is that we all have them xD

At the end of the day we can order shirts and hoodies if thats what people want which shouldnt be a problem.

Im not sure how much they cost right now but i would guess the shirt would be something like £15-20 and hoodie £25-30. (for custom names and maybe a personal slogan and sponsor logo(s)).

Ill also look into costs for more customization eg say marshy wanted a protos logo on the sleves or something.

Anyway post thoughts :)

I am working on actual pricing for hoodies right now, have emailed a company requesting a quote.

Comedy hats? Hoodies should be good though, I have about 10 ATK shirts :P. Could be hot hot though.

I can see that it might be but TBH I would have thought that if you get to hot and jsut dont wear a shirt it should be fine, also more room for air so less sweat ^^

Okay some news.

For custom hoodies with ATK logo on the front, novint on the back and your name in print (in the colour Red)-

If we order 15+ it would be £18.50 each.

Im finding out how much for less.

What do people think of this.

Except we won't be having Novint on the back, and will of course replace it with someone else.

Also, Mitch, what's the base design of the hoodies?

NB. I still love Novint, but let's have a change from their falcons this time :).

Its a red hoodie if thats what you mean by base design lol.

What are we going with if not novint? I was intending to email some companies this week about sponsorship otherwise but novint are quite a unique thing to have.

I'd rather put the money towards a TL shirt or something rather than a hoddie I wouldn't wear.

I def want a hoody I spend 90% of the time at the pc in a hoodie so thats why I want one, have like 6 ATK shirts and very very rarely wear them. Also if by some miracle theres is actually heat then just take it off at pc and put it back on later

Nice one Chaz! Looks very cool. Would agree with Mitch though, that my eye doesn't really know where to look first. It's pretty busy.

Whatever the design I think the ATK letters should be the most prominent. I'm actually not too fussed with the "gaming community" text being there at all. In fact, I think I'd rather have the URL there, so people know where to go. Or is that a bit OTT?

EDIT: One more thing, if you removed the "est 2006 intendo etc.." part, that might fix the problem too.

The URL idea may be slightly OTT, but could look pretty cool if done well, like if the ATK was emphasized or something? Also Love the WASD compass idea Chaz :D

I really like the nautical theme kinda A+F, im pretty nifty with a needle and was thinking if we had hoodies i could make patches to be stiched on at LAN if anyone wants one just say i need numbers and ill whi up a protoype tommorrow if anyone likes the idea.

Make both designs, if we get sponsors to pay towards it we get multicolored

Liking this one more Chaz! The ATK spacing works nicely too. Colour would be interesting to see, but I quite like the white atm.

The only thing I'm not 100% on is the "intendo occidere". Someone should think of something witty to put there instead :D.
