Reverse GunGame or Hide and Seek?

Recently, I have noticed that a lot of you have been playing on Hide and Seek servers. Since I am about to change the Normal Maps server into something new, I would really appreciate it if you could vote on which is your favourite.

Please note that the server is 24 slots, and it needs to have the potential to be popular enough to be able to fill itself without all of the ATK members being on.

I don't really mind which one you choose, but the Hide and Seek idea would be a lot easier to set up ;) .

Hide and seek is a pro mod for CSS where the terroristas disguise themselves as various objects like phones, shrubs, office chairs etc depending on the map and have to hide while the CTs have to find them and shoot them dead.

It's pro.

No, unless I add more maps to the server.

Hide and seek definitely, Reverse Gun game needs lots of people to be fun whereas you only need about 5 or 6 people for HnS.

hide and seek needs really good hide and seek map cycles.

How do you install HnS? Or does the game do it automatically? :s I have no idea.

Its a server side mod, all you need to do is connect to the server, turn off your radar (mod requires it, else itll kick you), and play. You get instructions on server, but to turn off radar, but you go to console, and type cl_radaralpha 0 into console. Default value is 200.

Does it automatically go into 3rd person? or do you have to do all the cl_idealview 0 stuff?

yeah, thats why you have to use cl_idealview 0 to sort the WASD out.

I'd prefer to use cam_idealyaw 0 so that it's just the camera which is rotated without fucking up distances.

Ok, I've played on the server, and I will again in a few minutes, so if anyone is going on... But basically it's all working, though could i suggest that we keep a small map list, as some maps aren't any good for Hide and Seek..
But we have to keep office.

Haha, well, i tested the server with some people, seemed to work fine.

Just updated the server to v11 by the way. It fixes lots more crashing issues.
