Alienware any good?

In response to the title, no you don't XD
But actually, I think Alienware aren't too bad, but you're paying for the name, not the hardware. Look around at some of the smaller companies which won't be so branded.
Take that ya one-eyed, bomb-lobbin', cactus eatin', pot bellied, thug fat jigglin-chicken whoopin' big, back-stabbin lob-armed creepy spastic bloody, blind-eyed pashy little twitchy pickle-headed rocke- hoppin, potato-poppin' phony two-faced stealthy mutant bastard!
Agree with VH here. I don't really like the look of Alienware anyway. I wouldn't be able to tell you who to go for though. Why do you need a gaming laptop anyway?

I've changed my mind. I'm now going to get a decent desktop and a sort of usable notebook with it.
Anyone know any decent desktops to buy?

I was gonna add alienwares are very heavy, my friend used to have one and it weighed a tonne, it broke pretty quickly as well
Allienware you not only pay for the name you pay for the rock solid build quality vs anyone else.
If you can afford it buy from them if not second best would be HP.
yeah if ur gunna get a desktop build 1 or get someone to build it. Itll be alot more powerful than anything you can buy, especially if money is more or less no object. for "only" £1k you can build a killer pc these days.
