Usually it's best to sphereize twice at 100% and then squash it down slightly so it looks oval. To make the text metallic use a bevel then change to gloss contour to whatever looks best.

the first one is alot clearer and i like the way that the ring was smaller on one side on the first one
Yeah, I know it looks better with the perspective on the circle, but then the 'A' was covered up too much, and Chalex made a fuss about it looking like a 'B'.
Anyway I posted this at PHW online since they have a lot of good photoshopers, and one of them made an edit to it:

I like the idea of blood, but doesn't fit to well with the colour scheme
By the way, how do you make the text 3D and sort of come out at you?
If you could find me a tutorial (I love a good tutorial lol) on this it would be helpful and also one on using alpha channels to make things invisible
Could we have a slogan on the bottom saying something like "Your In My Sights"?
