Filefront Closes

Well, it's a sad day, as yet another internet community is shut down, this is mainly a blow to me, who was a huge member of the JK3Files section of filefront, which is now gone. I should have posted earlier about FF's closure, so you could download favourite files etc. Just thought I'd say incase you wanted to try and find a .filefront site which had disappeared =/

(Hopefully it'll come back in a few years, but that's a minute possibility..)

EDIT: You can download your files today! Not sure how long the sites will be up for though!

Please tell me this is an early April Fools...

Filefront was my favourite site for game downloads... always worked, no silly sigining up to do, choosing mirrors or waiting in a queue... oh well, bummer I guess.

been talking on www.jksource.com and we agree, if this is an early-april fools, they're shooting themselves in the foot, especially the specialist communities such as Jk3files, everyone's been posting goodbyes, we'd be so pissed >.<

This Cant Happen :s I Pay Filefront So I Can Store Uploads On There And They Havent Contacted Me About Anything, I Jsut Downloaded A New Zero Hour Mod From Them A Few Mins Ago..........

Filefront closing, it dosen't seem possible. It's one of the better download sites around. Even in current times, i'd have thought that advertising alone would keep them afloat.

lol i can't see it closing dwn it prob the best dwnload site around, so easy to use, wuld be a shit april fools tbh can't see people findin it funny tbh

gamershell was always far faster(maxing out my download sync) and didnt take 5 redirections to get to the file you wanted.

I'm with ez, I gave up on filefront and switched to gamershell.

Gamershell is actually faster but I still use Filefront more because more places use it to host stuff. Also, it most probably isn't an April Fool's joke as it was announced a while back and I can see them having problems with money in the economic crisis.
