The E3 2009 New Games Thread

At E3 each year, many new games are announced for the very first time. Since some may well be the "next big game", I thought I'd create this thread so that everyone could post their favourite E3 finds! This thread should also help you avoid those not-so-good concepts .

Bloo has already pointed me towards "The Agency" which is basically an online RPG spy game, with cross platform support between PS3s and PCs. It looks quite awesome: http://e3.gamespot.com/story/6211675...09-impressions .

I hope they're going to do a Xbox 360 version or computer! Otherwise I'll have to buy a PS3!

The only good games for consoles are driving games, platform games, sports games and fighting games, everything else should be left to pc

After never hearing about that game until right now, I completely agree with you.

I know BF2 is very similar, but 256 players is a completely different scale, and I just love the squad and platoon setup, with persistent player statistics and upgrades, like an RPG.

Now, I know I'd prefer to play this on a PC rather than a PS3, but I somehow doubt that will happen any time soon .

And music games targ. Moniters aren't big enough for four player jammin'.

Anyway, I noticed the Agency SO long ago, I acctually forgot about it, but new content and mention of the beta = YAY!!

It's a shame they showed the consoletard viewpoint on the video, I would have prefered to see how the PC version handles. But meh, can't do much about that. There was a the Natal stuff, obviously, and the PS3 stuff... L4D2 (which may or may not be a rip-off. Time will tell.) No... The Agency is pretty much the highlight for me.

EDIT: MAG dosen't look bad though. BF2x4=MOAR NADE SPAM though.

MAG (Massive action game) - WOW what an exciting name!

Other than that, yeah it just sounds like BF2 on a bigger scale, which isn't too impressive considering how much technology has advanced since BF2 was released. Also, it's PS3 exclusive which is just total fail.

It'll also have all the consoletards who can't play tactically for shit playing it CoD4 style.

MAG = BF2 for consoles. It will be played in the exact same clusterfuck way, basically like CoD4.

I'll just wait a year for PR2 (Project Reality on it's own engine) to come out thanks.

I don't see what's so amazing about MAG, it may be on a larger scale than BF2, but it looks way smaller than Operation Flashpoint 2.

To be fair, a 256 player game would be lush, but only if the map sizes were huuuuuge and a game of it lasted an entire day. Aside from that, meh its a PS3 game, so I'll never buy it.

And I found The Agency interesting because well, you've got the boring James Bond style high-tech gadget side, and the IED loving, low-tech mercenaries on the other. Oh, and tuxedos and machineguns.
