    Re: My Computer: Final

You dont have to spend £80 to get a decent power supply, by no means cheap out on it but 40-60 will you do nicley. (The connecters you can get adapters for easily as long as you run them on different rails its just the same)

The HDD is also a joke, the cheap 1TB drives will be faster by having more platters as long as they are running 7.2k.

Buy two cheap HDD's with the same or more storage and raid 0/1 them for much much much better performance and pretty much no hassle after install, the performance increase will be seen in win7/vista even more due to so many of its preloading and indexing features rape HDD's.

I'm not up to date with CPU's/Mobo's these days but they look fine.

    Ram/case is spot on though.

Hopefully with that all above you can save £30 (for neons and shiny cables n shit ) and get a noticeable performance difference.

From the few minutes research I did on that motherboard, I think it only supports SLI not CrossfireX, which you'd need for the ATI cards. You might want to wait for someone else to confirm that though. It would be useful if you could give me a link to the motherboard on microdirect so we can check too.

Other than that, you know I think buying 2 x 4890s is a waste of money, and personally I would try and get a modular power supply to help with cooling. Everything else looks fine .

Hardware Features: ATI CrossFireX technology support
    Guess you're ok there then.

EDIT: yeah, I'd take another look around for hard drives - get an Samsung 1TB F1 drive, they're great.

    Re: My Computer: Final

Ebuyer I found are far cheaper than most people these days and they are selling decent 1TB drives for £45 inc vat which will be more powerful than that 750.

I would still go for 2*500's and raid 0 them though but its your pc not mine

No because they are shitty 5400rpm drives, just buy 2 7.2k rpm drives any size and RAID0 them and they will be better than that 750g.

I have 2 500GB Samsung F1 7200RPM drives, and apart from filling them up to fast they are awesome .
